My name is Maureen Kratz, and I live in Lower Salford with my husband, Bob. A lifelong Souderton resident and Souderton School District alumnus, Bob and I have been married for 36 years. Together, we raised two grown children who also graduated from the Souderton School District.
Bob has deep roots in our community. He’s a lifetime member of the Telford Fire Department, which he joined in 1971, and served as its president for six years. He has also coached baseball, basketball, and soccer in local community leagues, beginning with T-ball in SHYBA back in 1994.
I grew up in Upper Black Eddy, attended Bethlehem Catholic until my junior year, and later graduated from Council Rock in Newtown, PA. For 20 years, I worked in the Education Division of K’NEX, traveling the country to work with teachers at workshops, tradeshows, and training sessions. One of my favorite parts of the job was hosting Souderton students and seeing them learn abstract concepts using the products we created.
Now, I run a small business in the real estate industry, providing contract and compliance services to real estate agents. My clients are primarily agents, not buyers or sellers, but I take pride in helping them navigate the often-complex real estate process. Whether it’s assisting a first-time buyer’s agent or supporting an experienced agent helping a couple sell the home where they raised their children, my work is incredibly rewarding. I play a small part in some of life’s most significant transitions, and I love making a difference behind the scenes.
As a family, we’ve always prioritized character, compassion, and decency. From day one, I worked closely with my children’s teachers to ensure they felt supported in their role. Teachers are the backbone of a child’s education, but it’s up to parents to teach foundational values such as honesty, responsibility, respect, tolerance, and courage.
We are passionate supporters of small businesses, local fundraisers, and community events. We believe in the power of staying local—whether it’s choosing a neighborhood business over big corporations, attending charity events, or donating our time and resources to causes that matter to our community.
I’m also committed to fostering dogs and mentoring a young girl in the foster care system. These causes are near to my heart, and they reflect my belief in standing up for those who need it most.
Two phrases have always guided my life:
That’s why I’m here—to take action, not to complain, not to spread rumors or falsehoods. The content I share is factual, with the goal of shining a light on how this board’s decisions impact us all.
Sincerely,
Maureen
